Super Bugs (BRF-1A) has been designed for use in ornamental fish ponds, water gardens, fish tanks, race ways, holding tanks, and closed aquatic systems with less than 10-15% water exchange per day.

Super Bugs (BRF-1A) is a ready-to-use liquid product that contains beneficial microorganisms that degrade organic matter and reduce ammonia accumulations through a natural, highly effective process.

When Super Bugs (BRF-1A) are added to pond water, it creates a biological chain reaction by producing more quantities of natural bacteria and enzymes.

Super Bugs (BRF-1A) contains many different strands of bacteria, capable of consuming almost every different organic waste that could possibly occur in aquatic environments. The UHC (ultra-high concentrations) of these species exceed, by many times, the low yield formula sold by competitive brands.

Super Bugs (BRF-1A) is the easiest, most concentrated (approximately 300 billion bacteria per gallon) ready-to-use product on the market. The product's unique preservation method allows for a shelf life of 18 months.

Initial Seeding Dosage: 

This is the first dosage and will provide a significant boost to the system.  Double the maintenance dosage determined below.  Many water systems will not need treatment during the cold winter months.  Anticipate doing a seeding dosage once a year in early spring.

Maintenance Dosage:

3-5 oz. per 1,000 gallons per week during months when the water temperature is above 50 degrees F.  Microorganisms are not significantly active when temperatures are under 50 degrees F.

5 oz. per 1,000 gallons per week for systems in need of significant organic reduction and systems with high stocking densities.

4 oz. per 1,000 gallons per week is the average dosage rate.  Most systems will do fine with this amount.

Handling and Storage:

Storage temperature of 40 degrees F to 75 degrees F is optimal.  Freezing should be avoided, as it will change the look and smell of the bugs with a slight reduction in microbial count.  High heat (above 90 degrees F) should be avoided, especially long term exposure.

Shelf life is 18 months under optimal storage temperatures.

Biofilter Booster is a highly concentrated solution of live bacteria that start up and maintain the biological filter in water gardens and koi ponds. Goldfish and koi continuously release harmful ammonia into the pond. Uneaten fish food and decaying algae also cause ammonia and nitrite buildup. The beneficial bacteria in Biofilter Booster quickly establish the biological filter and begin breaking down these harmful substances and improving water quality. Regular use of Biofilter Booster helps the biological filter remain active all season long.

Directions For Use:

Spring Start-up and New Ponds: Shake well before using  Add 2 teaspoonfuls (10 ml) for every 25 U.S. gallons (95L) of pond water directly into the biological filter once a week for 4 weeks, or until water tests for ammonia and nitrite remain at zero.

Summer Directions: Add 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) for every 25 U.S. gallons (95L) of pond water directly into the biological filter once a month. If water testing indicates dangerous levels of ammonia or nitrite, revert to "Spring Start-up" directions while corrective measures are taken.

Compatibility:
Biofilter Booster can be used with koi and goldfish, frogs, tadpoles, snails. And aquatic plants. Biofilter Booster can be used in ponds and water gardens where wildlife comes to visit. Keep from freezing. Do not store above 120°F (49°C). Biofilter Booster has a five year shelf life and does not require refrigeration.
